What Customer Are Saying About CPR+ Training

Here’s what customers frequently say about getting CPR+ training for their staff:

“We got training when we went live. We’re too busy. It’s too expensive. We don’t have time. We already know what we need to know. When we have a question, we call support ...”

Here's what customers who have actually had training had to say about the powerful impact it had on their employee morale, productivity and overall business operations.

Geisinger Community Health Systems/Vitaline switched to CPR+ last fall after being with another system for years. Project Manager Randy Donkochik had this to say about Vincent Thompson:

“Vincent understands the software and the business. He is excellent in dealing with difficult people. The on-site training was invaluable, my only regret is that we didn’t have him out sooner.”

Trainer: Vincent Thompson, CPR+ Guru since 2002

Vincent was also the primary trainer for University Hospitals Home Infusion in Cleveland, Ohio as they went through CPR+ implementation. Nagy Ramzy, Director of Pharmacy described his training this way:

“Vincent is an extremely knowledgeable of the CPR+ program. His training was thorough. When he was asked questions, he provided the correct answers. When he did not know the answers; he called the main office to find out the answers. He was willing to stay late to work with the staff.”

Partners in Home Care in Missoula, Montana has been a long time customer on the infusion side of their business. After evaluating several HME systems, they just added their HME division to CPR+. Vicki Johnson, System Administrator said this about their recent on-site training:

“We had training to bring up our HME / DME department on CPR+ and to train those employees on to CPR+. It was very helpful having someone not only with business experience in HME but also experience within that business using CPR+. As a special bonus, our trainer had experience in the software system our HME department was converting from. He could easily relate to our users and the terminology”.

Trainer: Cameron Atchley, CPR+ Guru since 2004

After a long, unsuccessful attempt to implement another system, Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego successfully went live on CPR+ recently. Michelle Deitz, Director of Homecare Services said this about their go-live training:

“On site presence for our go-live was critical to assist in supporting the staff. Adrienne did a great job taking staff through the system so that go-live went as smoothly as possible.”

Trainer: Adrienne Crites, CPR+ Guru since 2002

National Infusion and HME provider CareMax has recently embarked upon a company wide effort to standardize on “best practice” procedures across their many locations. They engaged CPR+ trainer Kelli Berzett in this effort and Andrew Holmes, Business Analyst at Caremax had this to say:

“Kelli is very business savvy and helping us in all areas. Her insight in the infusion aspect has been invaluable and her ‘resume’ established her as an expert from the start and that has significant value with our infusion leadership. Her documentation has been detailed and very helpful to us. Her and Carlos have gelled well and are doing great things at our branches.”

Trainer: Kelli Berzett, CPR+ Expert since 1999

Suzanne Sesta, Director of Operations of Livingston Infusion Care in South Plainfield, New Jersey has been a CPR+ customer since 2004. She said:

“There are lots of new things that you have no idea CPR+ can do unless someone actually sees you doing your job and points them out.”  She rated Tony Clark’s comprehensive knowledge of CPR+ as ‘Excellent’.

Trainer: Tony Clark, CPR+ Expert since 2003

BJC Home Care in St. Louis, Missouri has been a customer for over two years. Sally Adams, Director of Infusion Services had this to say about their recent training:

“It was very helpful to have Vincent actually look at our system, see what we were doing, and make recommendations as to how we could improve. Having him spend time with each of our departments (Intake, Pharmacy and Billing) also showed our staff that we are committed to helping them have the tools they need to perform their jobs.”

Trainer: Vincent Thompson

Children’s Hospital and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minnesota has been a CPR+ customer for over six years. They recently had on-site training with Cameron, and Pharmacy Manager Christine Koentopp said this:

“We are working to improve our data acquisition and billing processes. Cameron was excellent. He was able to explain how the system lets us work together and how we use the data across all departments.”

Trainer: Cameron Atchley

Option Care in Macon, Georgia has been a CPR+ customer since 1996! Following their recent training, Director of Pharmacy Services Rachel Holloway said:

“It was valuable to all of my staff to have the trainer watch us as we were working and he could show us at the moment the correct way or suggestions on how to make it easier.”

Trainer: Richard van der Lek, CPR+ expert since 2006

I could give you a hundred quotes but when you boil them all down, they all say the same thing:

Every time we get training, we learn things that help us do a better job, make fewer mistakes, get more done in less time, collect our money faster and provide better service to our patients, physicians, discharge planners and payors.

Who wouldn’t want this, right?

So when was the last time your company had training?  How many new employees have you added since then?  How many new updates have you installed?  How many hours per month could you save by implementing one or more of the hundreds of new features in CPR+ that you don’t know about? Well, there’s only one way to find out. Call today to schedule On-Site training – if we can’t use YOUR quote in our next newsletter article, we’ll refund your training fees. How can you beat that? 2008 CPR+ User Conference Schedule

Ask yourself this question: “How much money has my business lost in its lifetime due to inaccurate counts of my drug inventory or missing pieces of equipment?” Hopefully, the figure you came up with isn’t astronomical, but in a perfect business environment I’d like that figure to be $0. While it would be naive of me to state that I have methods and tools to ensure that you’re never going to lose money over this particular business problem, I can show you that there are ways within CPR+ to greatly reduce your original figure.

The good news is, the functionality to organize your drugs, supplies, and equipment by way of a barcoding system is already in there. Open any inventory item in CPR+, click on the Item Info tab, and you will see the Barcode # field.

Item Info

Now that you know about this field, all you have to do is open every single inventory item in CPR+ and assign a random number for the barcode. Wait a minute. That sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it? There has to be a much faster way to assign barcodes to the hundreds of items in your warehouse. Luckily, CPR+ has a magic wand you can use to make this happen. Just hold the wand over your inventory items, pretend you’re Harry Potter and shout out, Imperio! In a matter of seconds, you have control over the population of all the Barcode # fields in CPR+.

OK . . . we don’t really have a magic wand. It’s actually a hand-held computer that looks like this:

CPR+ Scan

Using a hand-held computer loaded with the CPR+ Scan module, you can quickly populate the Barcode # field for all of your inventory items by scanning in the manufacturer’s barcode that is already printed on your drugs, supplies, and equipment. Once you have laid the groundwork for your inventory, you can print out barcode labels in CPR+ to put on your shelf locations. When utilizing this barcoding system integrated with CPR+ Scan, counting your inventory becomes a breeze. The module allows you to scan each item in your warehouse and keep an accurate count of your inventory that you can match against what you have stored in CPR+.

This is an initial example of how CPR+ Scan can help you take control of your inventory.  In future articles, I will be writing about additional spells that you can cast with CPR+ Scan such as:

1. Quickly assigning lot numbers on your serialized equipment.

2. Adding and Receiving inventory into CPR+.

3. Creating purchase orders for CPR+ using the handheld.

4. Assigning real time statuses to your rental items.

5. Capturing your patient's signatures electronically at the time of delivery.

Can’t wait for the next article to learn more about CPR+ Scan? Contact me, Nicholas Tieu, at 866-277-4876 and I’ll be happy to setup a live web demo for you and your team.  Currently, we are offering CPR+ Scan at 50% off the cost of your first license through the end of May.
