The CPR+ Report Library Service is an optional subscription-based module that helps you get more information out of your CPR+ software. The Report Library Service (or RLS) includes two main components:
What’s in the Report Library? It’s easy to see detailed information about the reports available in the library before you subscribe. In fact, the only thing you can’t do from the Report Library window as a non-subscriber is download and run an individual report! From the Reports Menu (4), select Report Library (6). If you aren’t a subscriber, CPR+ gives a description of the service. Click the OK button to see the Report Library Service window.
To get an updated Report Library listing, press the <F6> key to retrieve the latest library. Click the Type column header to sort the reports by their purpose. With almost 500 reports to choose from, this is a quick way to see reports that have a similar function. Selecting from over twenty different types of reports in five different categories makes it easier to locate the kinds of reports you need – just browse through the list – I guarantee you’ll see something that you can use. After you’ve found a report you want to see in more detail, put the cursor on the report and either click the Details link or press the <F4> key to see a more in-depth description.
You can see a report preview if it’s available by either clicking the Preview link or by pressing the <F3> key.
New reports are added to the library every month. Over 300 reports were added in 2007, and I’ve added 31 since the beginning of the 2008. For every report that gets added, about 10 more are reviewed and not used, either because they are too company specific or they’re already in the library in some format. Report Formats All reports in the library are written in either the Foxfire Report Writer or Crystal Reports. To run the CPR+ Foxfire Report Writer reports, you’ll also need the Foxfire Report Writer software. You don’t need a Crystal Reports license to run RLS reports written in Crystal. A subscription to the RLS includes a site license for Datalink Viewer, a Crystal Reports viewer program that can be installed on any of your computers that run CPR+. As a subscriber, once you download a report, IT’S YOURS. As needed, you can modify it to better suit your needs or run it as is as often as you’d like. Your annual subscription gives you access to new reports all the time as well as other benefits. Report Design Assistance If you’re new to report design, or if you’re an experienced report designer who’s in a time crunch, the report design assistance component of the Report Library Service is a great time saver. Our Customer Support Representatives are available to help subscribers with report design questions and as needed, I’m available to answer the really tough questions. I am your full-time Reports and Database Specialist. This “next level” of support is only available to Report Library Service subscribers. The CPR+ Report Library Service Important Announcement: Employee Profile:
Upcoming Changes to DMERC Electronic EDI Processes CMS recently announced a change that is being made regarding the submission and retrieval of electronic transactions. This change will provide a single front-end solution for submitting claims, receiving reports, electronic remittance advices as well as claim status inquiry and claim status responses. The contract has been awarded to NGS (National Government Services, Inc.). They are calling the site CEDI – Common Electronic Data Interchange. Note: These changes will affect every company that transmits claims directly to their assigned Jurisdiction (previously known as “Region”). Customers transmitting claims to Medicare via Emdeon should not be affected. D.H.S. has been on top of this regulatory change. We have been working closely with NGS and are well prepared for this event. We recently completed and passed testing with NGS CEDI. The key dates for the transition are: February 1, 2008 The CEDI system will be in production for suppliers, billing services, clearinghouses and vendors to begin testing. NOTE: Trading Partners (Electronic Submitters) can move fully into production with CEDI before their final cutover date. March 31, 2008 Jurisdiction A and Jurisdiction D will no longer process new requests for submitter IDs or changes to an existing ID. All new setups and changes will be done by the CEDI Enrollment Team. Details on how to get setup with the CEDI Enrollment Team will be available soon. April 30, 2008 Jurisdiction B and Jurisdiction C will no longer process new requests for submitter IDs or changes to an existing ID. All new setups and changes will be done by the CEDI Enrollment Team. Details on how to get setup with the CEDI Enrollment Team will be available soon. April 30, 2008 Last day for Jurisdiction A and Jurisdiction D to process EDI transactions. May 1, 2008 All Jurisdiction A and Jurisdiction D EDI transactions will be processed by CEDI. May 31, 2008 Last day for Jurisdiction B and Jurisdiction C to process EDI transactions. June 1, 2008 All Jurisdiction B and Jurisdiction C EDI transactions will be processed by CEDI. If you are currently sending electronic claims and only have one Submitter ID, they are not requiring any paperwork to be completed at this time. NGS CEDI has been sending correspondence to those providers without a software vendor on record. If it has been a long time since your profile has been updated or there is any question who the software vendor is, you may receive a "CEDI Request for Customer Information." This is a short form requesting Trading Partner information (you) and Vendor Information (us) or Emdeon if you are sending claims to Medicare via ITS. There is another short form called “Request to Combine Trading Partner IDs” which is available on our website by clicking here. This form is required if the provider currently uses more than one Trading Partner ID (Sender ID or Submitter ID). The request is to combine all trading Partner ID’s into one Trading Partner ID for CEDI. This request will cover all electronic transactions (837P claims and 835 – ERAs). We will release a service pack for v7.1 and v8.0 with the necessary changes as soon as we possibly can. Please keep in mind that there may be a change in transmission protocol and certainly telephone numbers and script files. We will need to get these changes programmed and tested thoroughly prior to release.
Vincent Thompson This week’s profile features an employee many of you already know – Vincent Thompson. Vincent is our Senior Implementation Specialist, ultimate road-warrior and all-around CPR+ guru. When it comes to CPR+, if he doesn’t know it, it’s likely that no one does. Vincent basically lives out of his suitcase. For the past 3-4 years, he’s averaged over 120 days of On-Site training per year. They have a plaque on the wall with his picture on it at Northwest Airlines headquarters. With 10 years of healthcare experience under his belt, including extensive experience with a hospital-based home infusion company in Virginia, Vincent joined D.H.S. in January of 2002. Originally a Pharmacy Technician, Vincent moved up to Purchasing & Inventory Manager and Reimbursement Manager at his previous company. He was directly responsible for the implementation of CPR+ at that organization. We were absolutely thrilled when he contacted us about a potential opportunity at D.H.S. Thanks to Vincent, a lot more customers “get it”. Stuart and I would like to thank him for the way he represents D.H.S., for his terrific attitude and for the outstanding results he delivers for CPR+ customers everyday.
