configure ms outlook and cpr+listserv / cpr+ clinical listserv

When using the CPR+ Listserv or CPR+ Clinical Listserv, you might receive several emails a day depending on how you setup your account. In order to make life a little easier, you can follow the steps below to create a CPR+ Listserv folder and a rule that sends all CPR+ Listserv related emails to this new folder automatically.

Follow the steps below to create a folder in Microsoft Outlook:

Step 1) Right-click the Mailbox icon located on the left side of the Outlook screen. (A drop-down menu appears.)

Step 2) Select the New Folder option from the drop-down menu. (The Create New Folder window appears.)

Step 3) Type CPR+ List (or any name that you want to use) in the Name field and select the Mailbox folder (or any other folder) to store this new sub-folder.

Step 4) Click the OK button. (The Create New Folder screen closes and a CPR+ List folder appears under the Mailbox folder [or other selected folder]).

If you are signed up for the CPR+ Clinical Listserv, you might want to consider creating another folder for messages from this Listserv (e.g. a folder name of CPR+ Clinical List).

Please Note:
Creating a rule for the CPR+ Clinical Listserv messages might be a little different, but the same steps are needed to send messages to a designated folder.

Follow the steps below to create a rule in MS Outlook:

Step 1) After receiving your first message from the CPR+ Listserv, right-click the message. (A drop down menu appears.)

Step 2) Click the Create Rule option listed in the drop-down menu. (The Create Rule window appears.)

Step 3) While on this screen, select the From cpr-bounces@listserv.cprplus.com checkbox and select the Move email to folder: checkbox.

Step 4) Click the Select Folder button associated with the Move email to folder checkbox. (The Rules and Alerts window appears.)

Step 5) Select the CPR+ List folder you created earlier and then click the OK button. (The Rules and Alerts window closes and the name of the selected folder appears in the field next to the Select Folder button on the Create Rule window.)

Step 6) Click the OK button on the Create Rule screen. (The Success prompt appears.)

Step 7) To run this rule now, click the available checkbox on the Success prompt. Otherwise, you can just click the OK button to save the rule.

Congratulations! You have created a rule that will automatically move CPR+ Listserv messages to the designated folder when CPR+ Listserv messages are received.
