Quality Assurance Manager / Product Development Liaison
Start Date at D.H.S.
May 2009
Summary of Experience
I spent 11 years working in a similar industry-- for IntraVet, a company that supported and designed custom practice management software for veterinarians. I filled many roles there including management in programming and QA. We went through the same migration from DOS product to Windows and then to .Net, growing from 6 employees to sixty. Before that, I worked for Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation in support, training and technical writing.
Why i work at D.H.S.
When IntraVet’s Ohio location was shut down, I wanted to work for another company who committed to providing the best service and the best product possible. A company like D.H.S. also provides opportunities to contribute in a variety of areas.

Summary of Experience
I have been in computer/software technical support for 4 years. I have 12 years experience developing best practices and support documentation for banking, pharmaceutical packaging and computer industries.
Most recently, I enjoyed technical support and documentation for a veterinary practice management software company. Prior to that, I specialized in procedures and documentation for ISO 9000 & 9002 certifications for several different industries.
Why i work at D.H.S.
I was accustomed to working for a company that was rated #1 in customer satisfaction, in its field, for 12 years in a row. When my co-workers and I suddenly found our jobs eliminated, several of us were happy to be able to make D.H.S. our new home. This is a business where quality support and solid work ethic are not only a goal, but a reality. I hope to be able to benefit my customers and co-workers with my technical and procedural knowledge. |

summary of experience
I have been doing some sort of software, hardware, or networking technical support for 9 years.
I was a tech support rep for Veterinary Practice management software as well as a part of an internal IT team for a small, private university. While in college, I had the pleasure of acting as a teaching assistant for nursing informatics classes.
Why i work at D.H.S.
When I met with Jeff, I immediately got the sense that he was interested in the satisfaction of both his customers and employees. Knowing that the management team takes a personal interest in my success helps to motivate me to go the extra mile for our customers. The dynamic and friendly small-business atmosphere makes coming to work a pleasure, rather than a means to a paycheck. |

Quality Assurance Specialist
Start Date at D.H.S.
June 2012
Years of Industry Experience
I have over eight years experience in the pharmacy industry.
Previous Industry Experience
I have worked for two mail order pharmacies over the past few years. I wore many hats at each location starting at entry level customer service and working up to senior business analyst. These opportunities gave me a unique perspective on not only pharmacy operations but how the industry functions as well.
Why I work at D.H.S.
DHS is a small company that's focused on excellence, employee wellbeing and customer care. I have worked for larger companies in the past and have always felt like people were lost in the shuffle and customers were a means to an end instead of the primary focus. I spent some time considering what my new career opportunity would be and quickly realized that DHS would be a great fit for my personally and professionally. |

January 2006
Years of Industry Experience
20 years of IT experience, 6 years specializing in Home Infusion software
Previous Industry Experience
I was D.H.S. employee #4, doing customer service, software development, and taking care of the cat when Stuart went on vacation. I helped write the early electronic claims submission and Medi-Span interfaces for the DOS version of the software, and continued to work for the company as an independent contractor for two years after moving to Texas.
Why I work at D.H.S.
I’ve known Stuart Crane for 20 years, and his positive attitude, encouragement and vision have changed my life. I’ve lived in Southeast Louisiana since 2002, and when Hurricane Katrina separated my family for a few months, Stuart and Jeff gave me what I needed most—a job, where the work was interesting and useful, and I could make a real contribution.
D.H.S. is an ideal place to work for anyone with ambition and initiative – Stuart, Jeff and the entire senior management team value the employees, treat us with respect, and are happy to give us the ball and let us run with it to get a project moving. It’s rewarding to be a part of a team whose product offers real value to our customers and their patients.
