PAST Stuart Crane, a database application developer, and Jeff Johnston, a home infusion therapy RN, met in 1991 and over the next two years created the first version of CPR+. They formed Definitive Homecare Solutions (D.H.S.) in 1993 to bring CPR+ to the home infusion therapy industry as an easy-to-use and functionally complete software application. Our first customer began using CPR+ in May of 1993 and since then, over 1200 Home Infusion, HME, Respiratory Pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy, and Ambulatory Infusion centers in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam have implemented CPR+. PRESENT Our customers range in size from small, single site providers to very large multi-site providers and everything in between. Our largest customer runs a $200+ million dollar per year operation filling over 300 prescriptions per day with CPR+. What matters most to our customers, regardless of their size, are results! Does the product work? Can I get help when I need it? Is it affordable? Will they listen and respond when I have a need? Our answer to all of the above is simply—"Yes". D.H.S. strives to provide our customers with the most feature-rich software, built on the best Microsoft® Windows technology, and to deliver the best training and customer support services in the Home Infusion / Specialty / HME industry. We are a "results-oriented" company, and as we like to say, “failure is not an option.” Our long term strategy is to continue to add the features and functionality that our customers and prospects want, coupled with unequaled training and support services, until every single provider in the market uses CPR+! We have just completed our 15th consecutive year of double digit growth. D.H.S. is a financially strong company, and Stuart and Jeff remain totally involved in the day-to-day operations. We recently purchased two of our major competitors—MBI and SCS, to further strengthen our market position. In 2007, we added over 53 new customer sites. In 2007, we released two new modules (CPR+ Web Portal and CPR+ Mobile), and we continue to improve CPR+ in the areas of electronic billing, meeting new insurance form regulations, Pharmacy Calculations, compatibility with Windows Vista™, and other associated enhancements. As stated by D.H.S. in previous years, this was a time of tremendous change in the Infusion / HME industry as nearly every non-CPR+ provider in the industry planned to replace their existing software application. We weren't that far off with this prediction! Even in 2008, providers are still using antiquated DOS software from vendors who have been unable to deliver a stable and mature "next generation" product to the market. If you are one of these providers, you have a choice to make—replace your existing software system with the "promised" product from your current vendor, or select a more established product with proven results from D.H.S. Before making the significant investment in hardware, software, and staff education to replace your current system, carefully evaluate your options. You understand the importance of this decision and the real total cost of making the wrong choice. In the same time frame, the number of customers who have switched to a competitor’s product can be counted on one hand.FUTURE For the above reasons, we expect our rapid growth rate to continue this year and beyond. To manage this growth, we are focusing our efforts, time, and resources on improving our product development, training & implementation, and customer support services by recruiting, hiring, and training the best people. We will continue to "raise the bar" by adding new functionality like CPR+ Portal, CPR+ Mobile, Automatic Pharmacy Calculations, CPR+ Backup Service, further expand electronic billing functionality, and more.
